Bobby Vassallo
Bobby Vassallo - Dubai
Bobby Vassallo is a City Wireless Builder. Bobby recently traveled to Tahiti and New Zealand consulting on tsunami alert systems for local governments, bringing a mix of technology and philanthropy; his favorite. Vassallo continues to consult and build projects in the US and elsewhere. A true wireless expert, Bobby has utilized his knowledge and experience to assist cities in ideas and techniques on public safety and Smart Grid projects.
Vassallo continues to study earthquakes and resulting tsunamis as a hobby, and speaks on the subject often, having worked on the emergency medical relief side of these killers. Bobby supports many charities and has specific and definite ideas on the amount of overhead many charities take on. Vassallo has his favorites, including what he says is the best charity ever, Operation USA.
"Operation USA does its emergency medical relief better than almost any other agency, but follows up with the necessary longer-term recovery. In the case of Haiti, Operation USA not only participated in the initial relief, but has since built an new school for over 600 students from 1-8 grades, there.
Operation USA brings relief, and then hope. Richard Walden is my hero, and has run Operation USA since the beginning, along with the help, input and support of Julie Andrews and her late husband, Blake Edwards," says Bobby Vassallo.

Hyper Baric Clinic in Merida, Mexico. Bobby Vassallo and Nick Costas bought the chamber from Jacques Cousteau's brothers and converted it for use at a clinic for the treatment of cervical cancer and diabetes-related illnesses.
The chamber was shipped to "Los Pinos," the Mexican White House, accepted by the president and first lady, and then continued on to Merida where it remains today.
